IE7 version 0.9 (alpha)

The latest version of IE7 is now available for download. It has been available for a week or two I just forgot to blog about it.:-)

There are not many new features in this release, just the Base64 support I mentioned previously. I am only fixing bugs from here on as I prepare for a final release.

If you are reporting bugs please use the forum on SourceForge:

https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=379297

The forum is pretty active. There are several experts who monitor the forum who can provide more immediate answers than I can.

And yes, I am going to rename this project when it goes live.

I think Dave would be a good name for it.

HALLO DAVE. CAN I SPEAK TO DAVE PLEASE? YOU’RE MY WIFE NOW, DAVE.

Just to put an end to the renaming games (people love to name things) it will probably be “FixIE”.

How about IEToolbox?

I always go into my garage and look for my toolbox when I have to fix something on my car:)

When do you expect 1.0?

When do you expect 1.0?

It really depends on how many bug reports I receive. I’m going to allow a month for reports to trickle in and then take it from there. So I guess 6-8 weeks. You can consider the current release to be a beta release.

Dien (pronounced like Dean, of cource)

That’s my entry for the upcoming name contest:-)

Internet Explorer CSS Bugs fixed with JavaScript Dean Edwards came to the web developers rescue with his IE7 script, that patches up Internet Explorer 6’s CSS downfalls, and bugs! Several months back, I came across a website, that first I thought was offering Internet Explorer 7 for download….

What about PatchIE?

Do you receive all the IE bug reports from the whole world??

Yes I do.:-(

But seriously. I’ve just started working on IE7 again (will be renamed FixIE not Dave). The first full release will be compatible with Microsoft’s IE7.

Is this script still in active development? Did you ever release a full version 1 IE7 or FixIE?
